1、Application Specialist, Applied Markets

     应用专家,应用市场部

Location: Shanghai or Beijing                                                                   

Position Scope:

    This role is equally focused on driving excellence in customer applications & technical support for both the pre-sales process and post-sales installation and training

    Interacts with Applied Biosystems customers, field sales, sales managers, product marketing and technical support staff

    Works closely with customers to identify market opportunities through development and commercialisation of new applications on Applied Biosystems systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Heavily focused on the HID (Human Identification) accounts (> 80%), with the primary purpose of driving workflow expansion and operational efficiency for our HID customers through strong product knowledge, training initiatives, and a thorough understanding of forensic workflow requirements.
  • To provide technical & product knowledge and expertise to the sales process to facilitate   competitive success, especially for consumable.
  • To support different level user meetings and workshops and adoption of new products. And assist communications both to and within the user base.
  • To be a technical product champion through preparation of sales tools, delivery of seminars, demonstrations & active participation in the selling process.
  • Assist the pre-sales process by demonstrating the technical advantages of Applied Market products to field staff and customers, especially for consumable.
  • Coordinate or perform product demonstrations for customers to assist the sales process as appropriate. Can be live or via Webex.
  • Provide troubleshooting to customer to ensure the success of workflow. To provide application and software training if necessary.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Master or PhD Degree and majoring in Forensic Medicine or Biology.
  • Good in fragment analysis and paternity testing. Requires a minimum of 3 years experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry research or application. Preferred experience in Health Care or Biotech & large corporations.
  • Proven system analytical problem solving skills.
  • Able and willing to learning new technology and new skill.
  • Team work and good communication skills
  • Fluent English abilities.
  • Able and willing to travel extensively to cover our distributed instrument base throughout China.

2、Business Administrator, Applied Markets.

Location: China, Shanghai

PURPOSE:

    Provide communication, coordination and administrative support to APM China Business including both marketing and sales function to ensure the operational efficiency.

    This involves interacting with staff (both domestic and international), customers and other stakeholders to enable the successful achievement of corporate, team and individual goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Marketing Manager and each divisional Product Manager in managing and developing the external profile of AB China through a range of targeted communication and marketing activities.
  • Plan and oversee presale marketing events and communicate with a variety of audiences. Provide logistics support for sales/marketing related events and company booth or exhibition at trade shows and community fairs.
  • Liaise with media for publication of technical and business development materials. Media and public relations maintenance
  • Develop direct mail programs, monitor roll-out of the campaign and check for success level at conclusion.
  • Maintain marketing materials such as product brochure, posters, etc together with Product Manager.
  • Manage customer databases, marketing activity trackers, web and intranet content such as salesforce.com.
  • Support internal sales training on new product and business development with Product Manager.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, communication, marketing, journalism, advertising, or a related field with relevant experience in scientific or technical communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Chinese and English.
  • Experience in writing and editing content related to technical breakthroughs, opportunities or capabilities for newsletters, magazines, annual reports, media releases, brochures, trade journals, the web and corporate presentations.
  • Experience in web site design, function and content maintenance.
  • Experience in development and management of events, conference, displays, workshops and exhibitions.

4、Demo Chemist, Application Supporting Centre

Location: Shanghai                                              

POSITION SCOPE:

    The Applications Chemist is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales technical support both internally and externally for a broad range of products within a particular sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-level applications and technical & product knowledge expertise to the sales process to facilitate competitive success.
  • Teaming with Sales Representatives on sales calls and acting as a technical consultant/expert to provide prospective customers with technical information and/or perform product demonstrations to assist with their purchasing decision.
  • Provide technical support, training and advice to both existing and potential customers
  • Works in trade show booths to present Applied Biosystems products and gather information.
  • Assist with instrument installations by providing on site start-up applications training to customers and demonstrates proper operating procedures with Applied Biosystems products including instrument, software, reagents and consumables
  • Plans and delivers user meetings
  • Working at customer sites to provide advanced application training, technical assistance and troubleshooting
  • Identification and communication of customer applications that may be developed and used on Applied Biosystems systems
  • Gather information on new trends, products and discoveries affecting Applied Biosystems as well as customer information about technical trends/needs to support development of selling strategies and future products
  • Training of other Applied Biosystems staff, on the application, installation, and operation of instrument systems

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in mass spectrometry, Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and significant laboratory and/or scientific background in analytical chemistry using LC/MS/MS (for example: 3-5 years of previous laboratory experience or PhD with 1-2 years post doc work)
  • Previous operation of Applied Biosystems’ systems or related instrumentation is highly desirable.
